The abdication of responsibility by the Church is humanity’s greatest moral problem.

First, I must state that I define the Church, in this context, as the entire body of believers.  In particular I do not simply refer to the Church leadership or clergy, though they most certainly have their place in both the cause and solution of this problem.

Second is that I take presupposition that the Church, at large, has walked away from the responsibilities in which Christ has entrusted it.  While an examination of the cause and evidence of this is clearly beyond the scope of this essay, the following discussion of the solutions should also provide an inherent basis for the premise of wholesale abandonment of the Church’s responsibilities.  Let’s examine the solution to this dilemma from the aspect of the five-fold mission of the New Testament Church. This is the text of one of my emails to the SciFi Diner podcast. It is a great show and I’d encourage you to look them up on iTunes.  They have a good discussion of my points.

The Five Most Important TV Shows In Science Fiction

A few weeks ago, I had made some Tweets regarding the most important TV shows in science fiction. This generated a variety of responses that has nudged me into writing a bit more reason behind my selections. Going into this, it’s important to note that my criteria here is “most important” rather than “best.” I also am not including non-SciFi shows though they often get lumped in together. Welcome

Friends, I’ve been away for a bit.  If you want to know more, check here: A Word On Where I’ve Been.

Welcome to the Christian Geek. It’s pretty safe to say that this will not be your typical blog. Tech, gadgets, sci-fi and geekery in general are welcome here as well as Christian thought and perspectives. Though you don’t often see them together, there is no reason why they shouldn’t mix.

Before Reviewing the pages here – and especially before posting – I would encourage you to read the information in Welcome To My Sandbox. It will make all our lives here much more fun!

Just remember that this is a work in progress.  As my proficiency improves I will be changing the way things function here.  Don’t panic though, my goal will be to never make it hard for you to find the areas of your interest.

God Bless,

Raul
